Russia mission summary

Upon arriving in Magadan, Luthir broke off from the group to go to the sun elf settlement, attempting further negotiations with them.
Francesca, Arthur, and Ethan stayed at the Municipal Building, in order to have a meeting with the Mayor, urging him to work with the sun elves instead of viewing both Shadowkind settlements as threats. They managed to convince him to make further attempts to reconcile with the elves, and focus on turning aside the drow invasions together.
Meanwhile, Thomas and Christos scouted the underground tunnels in the mountains and discovered the entrances that the dark elves were using to get into the human and elven cities. Presumably with the help of Merlin's magic, they collapsed the crucial tunnel entrances in on themselves, probably fighting some dark elves who caught them in the process.
Shortly thereafter, Francesca caught a number of high ranking Russian military and government officials having a secret meeting in the Municipal building and went to spy on it: it seemed that the Russian authorities did want to declare war on both the sun elves and dark elves and while the Mayor plead the case that they should work with the elves, he was pretty outnumbered. However, a traitor was in their midst, and had helped to sneak a bunch of dark elves into the building. They proceeded to massacre almost everyone in the meeting, and Francesca did what she could to intervene. Christos, having developed some sort of bad feeling about things, was sneaking into the Muncipal building to check on Francesca, with Katniss stalking him, while all this was going down, and they saw the attack in progress and rushed to assist. However, they were too late, and arrived at the meeting room just as Francesca had her throat slit by a drow priestess. Christos went psycho, and massacred a ton of drow singlehandedly while Katniss had a PTSD episode. Thomas, having noticed Christos going missing, arrived at the Municipal Building during all this (and Merlin could have gone with him if you want!), fighting through the drow to get there and calm down La Krail. Meanwhile, there were further attacks occurring on the upper floors, which Arthur and Ethan were dealing with.
Only one man survived the meeting - someone who Francesca had laid down her life for. Moved by her actions, he became an outspoken proponent of working with the sun elves, as the humans clearly did not have the knowledge to deal with the magic these dark elves possessed. Negotiations reopened between the sun elves and humans, the dark elves' passage into the cities was blocked, and the Knights took Francesca's body back to HQ to be resurrected.
And on the plane ride home, Christos stabbed Thomas.
